Una cosa che mi piace molto, oltre la scozia in sé, è la loro pronuncia o meglio la lingua scozzese! Così ho pensato di aprire questo nuovo argomento.. proponendo alcune frasi tipiche:
Hou's aw wi ye? = How is everything with you?
Brawly - Thank ye. = Nicely - Thank you.
No bad conseederin. = Not bad considering.
A canna compleen. = I can't complain.
A hae been waur. = I've been worse.
Sae faw ye.= Same to you.

comunque è vero, certe volte son proprio difficili da capire

il gaelico è una lingua meravigliosa...io ho imparato a dire solo faìlte (benvenuto), eilean (isola), alba(scozia) e sassanach (parolaccia che indica una persona inglese)

"A ken at" replies the widow "A wis worried fir a meenit - A thocht he wis gyan tae ask aboot the the ither twa."

We have had a wonderful life together but somethings always bothered me for years. Jock and Jimmie were two wonderful tall and strong boys and are now fine young men - but Sannie has always been small. Tell me now - is he my son?

La prima volta che abbiamo chiesto informazioni ci hanno risposto in scozzese... Non abbiamo capito davvero nulla... Neanche i nomi dei luoghi erano pronunciati bene!
Sapete come si dice ciao in scozzese? Perché me l'avevano detto, ma me lo sono dimenticata...
